Hi Reader,
This week in Israel we are between holidays - Lag B'Omer, Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day) and Shavuot. With the ceasefire still holding for now, activities, school days and end of year school trips are happening as usual. Each day we breathe a sigh of relief and unclench a bit more than the day before. For the first time in a while, people are talking about "what I did last night." Concerts, comedy shows and festivals are getting people out of their homes and back into normal life. What a relief!

From The Ground
This week I was at the Mossad Museum on an organized day tour — and I was genuinely blown away. The power, the intelligence, the sheer dedication of our armed and secret forces. But what always gets me is this: these people are just like us. Jewish men and women — our tribe. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things with complete clarity about why they do it. For us. For this land. For this people. The greatest honor and privilege to be reminded of that.

Happy Ending: First wedding held in Kibbutz Nahal Oz since October 7 massacre
Nursing student Dani Nechmad married Golani Brigade officer Alon Freibach in Kibbutz Nahal Oz. Freibach was wounded during the war. This is the first wedding held in Nahal Oz since October 7.
Life, stubbornly and beautifully, continues. 💍

Spreading Mitzvos All Over Town
Mendel helps people around Israel put on tefillin in honor of his late friend Motti and Motti’s sister, Aviva, who both passed away from cancer. 💙
Afterward, he sends photos of each mitzvah to their family—keeping their memory and spirit alive through acts of holiness and connection.

🏥🇮🇱 The largest donation in Israeli healthcare history just landed in Jerusalem.
Jan Koum — founder of WhatsApp — is giving $200 million to Shaare Zedek Medical Center through his family foundation. The gift will fund a new inpatient tower, housing for medical staff, and ultimately triple the hospital's size.
This is the same hospital that has been treating terror victims and war casualties throughout the past two years — quietly, relentlessly, on the front lines.
Some people build apps. Then they build something that lasts. 🙏🏼

✨📍 Site Spotlight of the Week 🥾✨
Shiloh — Ancient Site, Community and Winery
Do you pray? If so, you're walking in the footsteps of Hannah. It was here, in Ancient Shiloh, that she prayed for a son — fervently, desperately — and was answered. This is the site of the Mishkan (Tabernacle), where it stood for over 300 years. And we can visit that exact place today.
In the hills of Samaria, you can stand at the Mishkan site and take in the surrounding beauty. 3,000 years ago, the Jewish people came here to pray, to offer sacrifices, and to serve Hashem. Shmuel HaNavi and Eli HaKohen both served Bnei Yisrael and fulfilled their roles as Prophet and High Priest right here.
They say if you breathe in the air of Shiloh, you can still smell the incense that burned on the altar. And just down the road from the ancient site, you can pour yourself — or have them pour for you — a beautiful glass of wine, white or red. Both are excellent.
We may not be able to access the Temple Mount today for many reasons — but this holy ground is accessible, available, and brimming with holiness. If you're lucky, you can even peek in to see the red cows being kept in preparation for the Third Temple. Very cool and not to be missed. 🍷🏛️
